Limited Time

When you’re young, you’re in a hurry … in a rush to experience, to see, to reach. There is so much out there! You want to touch it all!

When you’re older, you come to realize you don’t have the time to pursue all you see. You have to focus or you won’t even do the things that seem achievable.

Older still, age gives us an added impetus, a sense of urgency; for our time really is more limited, our capabilities more constrained.

Despite the worn out parts, we also have more experience, more life knowledge. We can navigate; we can do; we can see and understand better than in our impetuous youth.

With limited years to savor, we must use our ability to sort out meaningful pursuits from the frivolous.  It’s time: time to live every moment; time to live desperately.
