Life is hard. Sometimes it’s an absolute bitch!
You’re challenged every day, and often you can’t find a way to meet that challenge. Not enough money to pay the rent or the mortgage. Too much pressure at work and not enough time and resources to get it all done. The kids have needs you just can’t meet. Your spouse wants more than you can accommodate. Or you have no spouse, no boy- or girl-friend, and the loneliness is sapping your energy. Your body seems to be giving out. You wonder whether the whole thing is worth it.
Even those with money have their worries, the things that keep them up at night. A different set of basic needs: not food and shelter, but reputation, family success, a simple appreciation of life that yields happiness. We all have our times of coming up short, of feeling boxed in, pressed upon, ready to raise the white flag or just run.
The solution is hard to find. How will you cover the bills at month’s end? How will you resolve that business problem, turning a stagnant product line into one of growth? How will you win back the passion in a relationship that seems to be fading?
You don’t know the answers. But you do know one thing, for sure: you will figure it out. You’ll make it through – just like last time, and the time before that. Not easily; not elegantly. Yet you will see the other side of this day, this dilemma. You will emerge once again into the light, of day, of joy, of seeing clearly the beauty of living this life.
